End User License Agreement and Terms of Service
CFM Rental QuickBooks Online Sync
Effective Date: May 1, 2026
This End User License Agreement and Terms of Service (“Agreement”) governs your use of the CFM Rental QuickBooks Online Sync integration (“Integration”), provided by CFM Event Rentals (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing, connecting, accessing, or using the Integration, you agree to this Agreement.
- Purpose of the Integration
The Integration connects CFM Event Rentals’ rental management software with QuickBooks Online. It is designed to create, update, and sync invoice-related information between the rental software and QuickBooks Online after you authorize access through Intuit’s OAuth connection process.
- License
Subject to this Agreement, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Integration solely for your internal business purposes in connection with your authorized QuickBooks Online company and rental management account.
- QuickBooks and Intuit
QuickBooks Online is provided by Intuit Inc. Intuit is not responsible for the Integration, and we are solely responsible for providing support and maintenance for the Integration. Your use of QuickBooks Online remains governed by Intuit’s applicable terms, policies, and agreements.
- Authorization and Data Access
When you connect the Integration to QuickBooks Online, you authorize the Integration to access and exchange accounting data needed to perform its functions. This may include customer information, invoice information, item references, tax settings, and related transaction data.
The Integration may create or update QuickBooks Online customers and invoices based on rental transactions. You are responsible for reviewing synced records for accuracy.
- Data Use
We use connected QuickBooks Online data only to provide, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Integration. We do not sell QuickBooks Online data.
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy:
https://cfmevents.com/privacy-policy/
- Customer and Invoice Sync
The Integration may:
- Check whether a customer exists in QuickBooks Online
- Create a QuickBooks Online customer if no matching customer is found
- Create invoices for booked rental transactions
- Update previously synced invoices when transaction changes are synced
- Apply configured QuickBooks item mappings
- Use QuickBooks Online tax references or tax settings when configured
You are responsible for confirming that item mappings, tax settings, customer details, invoice amounts, security deposits, discounts, and other accounting entries are correct for your business.
- Security Deposits, Refunds, and Accounting Treatment
The Integration may include security deposit information on synced invoices based on the configuration and transaction status. You are responsible for determining the correct accounting treatment for deposits, refunds, retained deposits, damages, credits, and related entries in QuickBooks Online.
- User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Maintain valid QuickBooks Online credentials and permissions
- Configure item mappings and tax settings accurately
- Review synced invoices and accounting records
- Use the Integration only for lawful business purposes
- Keep your WordPress, rental software, and plugins updated
- Promptly disconnect the Integration if access is no longer authorized
- Disconnecting the Integration
You may disconnect the Integration from QuickBooks Online through the Integration settings or through QuickBooks Online app management. Disconnecting stops future syncing but does not automatically delete records already created in QuickBooks Online.
- Availability and Changes
We may update, suspend, modify, or discontinue the Integration at any time. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by QuickBooks Online, Intuit services, hosting providers, internet outages, plugin conflicts, or third-party systems.
- No Accounting, Tax, or Legal Advice
The Integration is a software tool. It does not provide accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. You should consult qualified professionals regarding tax filing, revenue recognition, deposits, refunds, and other accounting decisions.
- Disclaimer of Warranties
The Integration is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted operation.
- Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, loss of data, accounting errors, tax filing errors, or business interruption arising from use of the Integration.
- Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Integration if you violate this Agreement, misuse the Integration, create security risk, or if continued operation is no longer commercially or technically feasible.
- Support
Support for the Integration is provided by CFM Event Rentals or its authorized support provider. Intuit does not provide support for this Integration.
